A note from the Athletics Department:

athletics

We are excited for another year of MUSTANG Athletics at NPC! It is a great privilege to leverage the power of sport to help our student athletes grow in their relationships with Jesus. I recently heard a quote from the Athletics Chaplain at Baylor University where he powerfully described the Christian athlete experience as being “formed by the WORD and felt by the WORLD.”

We also are excited to continue to host conversations for our parents of student athletes as we all try to navigate the wild world of youth sports in ways that are distinctly different and honor Christ. Here’s a link to an article recently written by the authors of the book AWAY GAME, who we hosted at NPC last year. It focuses on how our engagement with both the local church and athletic commitments can fit together for followers of Jesus. We'd love to hear your thoughts!

We look forward to seeing all of our middle and high school athlete parents at our Mandatory Athletic Parent Gathering on Monday, August 17 at 7:00pm in the NPC cafeteria. If your students will be playing sports any season this year, please plan to join us. Copies of AWAY GAME will be available for parents at this meeting.

Looking forward to a great athletic year,
The NPC Athletic Leadership Team

P.S. We need Parent Concession Stand Leads for the upcoming sports season. Learn more.
